By February 21, the Western Disturbance will move away eastwards and weather will become dry. Punjab may also receive good rainfall on February 19 and 20. Isolated hail storm activity cannot be ruled out over West Uttar Pradesh. During this season, the freezing level is around 3 to 3.5 km above the ground level. The probability of hail storm increases as and when the top of convective clouds reach above freezing levels.

Nevertheless, the intensity and duration of hail storm will be very short. Therefore, the standing Rabi crops will not be affected much.

Temperatures in Northwest India

Day temperatures will come down significantly while the night temperatures will remain above normal levels. After the passage of the Western Disturbance, temperatures will come down once again.
