When the scorching summer heat is hitting you hard, it’s time to head towards the hills in North India which are witnessing showers and pleasant weather conditions with occasional breaks.
The North India hills due to successive Western Disturbances is under the influence of observing on and off showers from a long time now. Due to which, the weather has become pleasant. In fact, a few districts of Jammu and Kashmir like Batote, Srinagar and Gulmarg did observe rains in the last 24 hours as well. Though rains failed to show up in the other two hilly states of North India like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

However, now as per Skymet Weather, on and off light to moderate showers are expected to keep lashing Jammu and Kashmir for another 2-3 days. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh too stands a chance to witness rains in the upcoming recent days. And thus, the possibility of a complete dry spell is not foreseen for at least the next 2-3 days.
Hence, the popular hill stations of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand are expected to remain rainy for the days to come. In fact, the tri-state is all set to brace for a rainy weekend.
Though chances of heavy rains are ruled out but on account of continuous rains, the soil has already become lose and hence chances of landslides may still persist. Hence, people who are planning to tour the popular hill stations across northern hills are expected to stay extra cautious when traveling.
