The hot and scintillating Delhi weather has made stepping out in the sun pretty difficult. Delhiites have been battling with hot scorching days from quite a long time now. Temperatures touched sky limits and settled close to the 45-degree mark on several occasions during the month of May.
After witnessing a dry spell of almost fifteen days, some rainy spells finally showed up in Delhi on May 16 thereby curtailing down the maximums from 42.8°C on May 16 to 38.6°C yesterday. However, as per Skymet Weather, now the weather conditions are favorable for some rains to pour over the national capital once again.
Skymet Weather reiterates, that a cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over Punjab and Haryana and a trough is seen extending up to West Uttar Pradesh across Delhi. Thus, thundershowers along with dust storms are likely to occur in many parts of Delhi and NCR between May 20 and May 22.
Mainly the weather conditions will be hot along with partly cloudy sky prevailing over the region. Thus Dust storms will also be a part of the pre-Monsoon activity that is likely to occur during the late night hours.
Thus, Delhi and the adjoining regions like Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad are most likely to see rain and thundershowers later this week.
Hence Delhiites may witness a rainy weekend that will make the weather conditions slightly comfortable and the ongoing discomfort level that has been prevailing will ease out soon. However, by May 23, the weather will again start clearing up leading to rise in temperatures once again.
