Rain in Madhya Pradesh

During the last 24 hours, Madhya Pradesh has received heavy rains at multiple places particularly over western districts of Bhopal, Indore, Guna and scattered over other places. Now, we expect on and off rain and thundershower to continue over most parts of Madhya Pradesh. Initially, the rain will be over southern districts of Madhya Pradesh on July 1 and 2.

On July 3 and 4, the rain intensity is set to increase as a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area which is over the Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha will move further over West Madhya Pradesh. The good rains will continue for the entire following week up to July 7. Some places might even witness flooding due to the continuous rains.

The rain intensity will vary from place to place. Although, northern districts like that of Morena, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind will not receive heavy rains but scattered rains are possible over these areas also. The rain intensity will be more over Betul, Hoshangabad, Mandla, Indore, Bhopal etc. Narsinghpur will get heavy rains.

On July 6 and 7, the eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh will get good rains while the rain intensity will start reducing over the Western parts. So, we can say that the next week is going to be one of the rainiest weeks for the state of Madhya Pradesh till the start of the season.

This rain episode will push the Limit of Monsoon further and many more parts of Madhya Pradesh will get covered by Monsoon.
