For the last few days, many parts ofGujarat have been receiving light to moderate Monsoon rainand thundershower activities. However, these rains have failed to bring any relief in terms of hot weather. During the last 24 hours as well, Veraval and southern districts of Gujarat received rains of varied intensity. However, Saurashtra and Kutch remained dry.
Now, we expect on and off rains to continue over southern districts of Gujarat for the next two to three days as the Monsoon surge has activated over the West Coast of the country. This may lead to heavy rains over North Konkan and Goa. Simultaneously, the southern districts of Gujarat may also receive good spells of rain and thundershowers along with scattered light rains over central parts of Gujarat. Particularly cities like that ofSurat,Valsad,Bhavnagar, Dang, Panchmahal may get good rains.
Cities like that ofGandhinagar,Rajkot, Amreli andBarodamay also receive on and off light rain activities for the next two to three days. These rains will increase further on July 27 or 28. We expect Saurashtra and Kutch to also receive good rains between July 27 to 29.
So, we can say that the prolonged dry spell which was being faced by Gujarat is over now. Although rains will not be heavy to very heavy, but these patchy rains will certainly bring down the rain deficiency of Gujarat to some extent. Also, there will be a huge relief from ongoing hot and uncomfortable weather conditions in the coming days.
So, the next one week is going to be good in terms of rain and temperatures for Gujarat.
