At present a cyclonic circulation is persisting over South Interior Karnataka and adjoining Tamil Nadu. Due to which enough moisture incursion is taking place from Arabian Sea as well as Bay of Bengal over the region.

Therefore, since the last three days, Bengaluru has been receiving good rain and thundershower activities. Now further also we expect Bengaluru and its nearby areas of South Interior Karnataka to witness pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers in the coming two to three days.

Moreover, scattered light to moderate rain and thundershower activities will continue over many parts of Kerala, even though rain intensity will not be very heavy. Isolated rains are also possible in few parts of Coastal Karnataka during the next two to three days.

Now, the date for Monsoon’s onset is approaching, which is June 1, but this time we expect slight delay for the onset of Monsoon over Kerala. But pre-Monsoon weather activities will certainly pick up pace after three to four days over Kerala, adjoining South Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Thus, we can say that a rainy week is ahead for most parts of South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu. And rainfall activity will increase by June 1. Bengaluru will continue with pleasant weather conditions and near normal temperatures.
