Over the course of last few days, icy cold winds have remained absent in both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh leading to an increase in temperatures.

During the last 24 hours, most of the pockets in Rajasthan have witnessed mercury settling above average. Chittorgarh observed minimums soaring 10 degrees more than the average while Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, and Udaipur observed 9 degrees above the normal temperatures. Churu, Jaipur, and Pilani also managed to see soaring temperatures settling more than 8 degrees than the average.

However, as per Skymet Weather, now both the states are expected to witness some wintry showers. Cloud cover is a major weather pattern that will take over the increasing temperatures resulting in some rainy spells. Rajasthan is expected to witness these rains for next 24 hours however, Madhya Pradesh is likely to witness rains for next two days.

In short, warm and sunny days prevailing from last many days will expectedly become partly cloudy and cloudy. The reason for the weather change can be attributed to an induced cyclonic circulation that has developed over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and Rajasthan. A trough of low has also existed from Northwest Rajasthan to Kutch region in Gujarat.

Moreover, humid winds from the Arabian Sea will induce moisture over Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh. Furthermore, an anti-cyclone also persists over Chhattisgarh. Due to this, moist winds from the Bay of Bengal from the Southeast direction will more likely reach over North Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

In the wake of both these weather systems, cloudy to the overcast sky is likely to prevail over both the states leading to downpour in these areas. Moreover, day temperatures are also likely to fall by 3-4°C leading to comfortable day.
