Pre Monsoon activities have already started over parts of Northwest India. Delhi somehow escaped rains and only dust raising winds were observed. Parts of Patiala, Ludhiana, Hisar, Ganganagar have observed. Now also, the northwestern parts of the country including Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh as well as Delhi and the NCR today, tomorrow as well as on May 26.
There is no big break thereafter also as another system is approaching. There may be a slight slowdown on May 27, but another system will make an appearance. In fact, starting on May 28, the plains will be more susceptible to rain as compared to the hills, at least in the beginning.
Heatwave conditions will remain far away from these areas and a prolonged rainy spell is expected over the region.
