The state of Uttar Pradesh has the largest deficit. Both West Uttar Pradesh and the eastern regions have a large deficit. Western parts of the state did see some rains in the last couple of days but eastern region did not see rainfall as such.
However, eastern parts as well as western regions along with central parts are expected to see some rainfall activities both today and tomorrow. Rainfall will be more over the western parts than the eastern parts.
Monsoon Trough has already shifted and is now over its normal position, thus rains will continue over Uttar Pradesh. A Western Disturbance is also moving along the Himalayas. The combination of these systems will result in rains
Rains will reduce around July 22 and 23 as Monsoon trough will shift slightly southward but then it will pick up again around July 24 and 25, due to another oscillation of the trough. Thus, rains of varied intensity is expected to continue over Uttar Pradesh until July 26.
