The Southern Peninsula is expected to see more rains in the coming days. If we talk about last two weeks, between August 11 and 17, it was rather poor for entire South India. Even the last week, between August 18 and 24, barring Kerala and Tamil Nadu, rains were poor for the region.
However, both Tamil Nadu and Kerala saw good rains with Kerala turning into the normal category. Conditions are such that South India will see rainy days in the rest of August and the beginning fo Septremebr.
These rains won't be very heavy but some amount of decent rains may be seen. Namely, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema are likely to see good showers. Coastal Tamil Nadu and Coastal Andhra Pradesh may see some light rains. Telangana and North Interior Karnataka will see rains picking up around August 27 and later.
Overall, it is going to be rainy for many parts of South India in the coming one week and will cover nearly all pockets of South India.
