The state of Kerala has been seeing some good rains. Moreover, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Kannur saw 43 mm of rains, Karipur 39 mm, Kozhikode 30 mm, and Kochi 11 mm.
More showers are coming up for the state of Kerala and that too a prolonged spell. This spell may not be extremely heavy but good showers and isolated heavy rains are expected to be seen between September 7 and 11. Moreover, the northern half is expected to see more showers than the southern half.
Kerala at present is the most deficit state with 46 percent deficiency. The month of August was dry despite usually, the month being the rainiest for the state. This coming spell may suffice for the state in reducing the deficiency at least marginally.
