Rainy days ahead for Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Kalingapatnam, Warangal

The state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have seen a decent Monsoon performance in the past few days. Apart from Rayalaseema which continues to the highest deficient pocket in the entire country, Telangana and rest of Andhra Pradesh have seen decent enough rains so far.

In fact, as on August 25, Telangana stands at 16 percent surplus rains with Coastal Andhra Pradesh slightly higher at 19 percent, Rayalaseema continues to be at a whopping -43 percent even now.

Now, a low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and has been persisting there for the past 24 hours or so due to which parts of Coastal Andhra have seen some rainfall activities. In fact, Visakhapatnam saw 20 mm of rainfall, and Kalingapatnam saw heavy rains of 43 mm. Light rain of 1 mm was witnessed at Hyderabad while Tuni recorded 4 mm of rains.

Now, due to low pressure over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Coastal Odisha. Moderate rains are likely over many parts with heavy to very heavy over North Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 24 hours. Sky conditions will remain overcast

Kalingapatnam, Vijayanagar, Visakhaptnam, Khammam, Bhadrachalam, East Godavari, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal may see heavy to very heavy rains. Meanwhile, Hyderabad, Medak, Najibdabad, and Nalgonda will see moderate rains. On the other hand, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Prakasam will see light rains.
