Rainy days ahead for Madhya Pradesh

The state of Madhya Pradesh has already seen light rains wherein Guna witnessed 2 mm of rainfall and Khajuraho 0.5 mm. Nearby areas also saw traces of rains.

Now, rains are all set to increase today in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, rainfall activities will be even more tomorrow, over many parts. These rains will be attributed to a confluence zone wherein northwesterly cold winds merge with southeasterly humid winds, leading to cloud formation and subsequent rainfall.

These rains are unseasonal for the state as this is one of the driest periods for Madhya Pradesh. However, due to the confluence zone, rains are expected in many parts.

Isolated hailstorm activity is also expected over parts of Madhya Pradesh. Initially, rains will be seen over northern and western districts of the state, and furthermore, many parts of the state will start seeing scattered light rains.

By December 26, rains will start to subside through the state, and only southern parts will see some rains. By December 27, rains throughout the state will take a backseat and northwesterly winds will start to blow, which will further drop the minimum temperatures over these areas leading to winter chill.
