A trail of western disturbance is moving in quick succession across north India between 23rd and 28th Dec. Wind pattern over Delhi has already undergone change. Relatively warm and moist easterly winds have replaced dry and cold northwesterly in the lower levels. This has led to abatement of cold wave conditions. Minimum temperatures will rise further to reach within normal range during remaining days of the month.
Passage of back to back westerly systems will result partly cloudy sky with suppressed sunshine. Rain and thundershowers are likely on 26th, 27th, and 28thDec, with better chances on 26thDec. Foggy conditions with moderate breeze is expected between 29th and 31stDec. It also means that the festivities of Christmas and New Year, if any, will not get dampened on account of weather.
