Rainy Days ahead for Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad, temp to be in mid 30s

After almost a week's delay, Monsoon in Delhi reached on July 5. Prior to the day of Monsoon, Gurugram recorded about 82 mm of rains and next day Safdarjung Observatory recorded 25 mm of rains. Due to the change in air mass, not every pocket gets to see rainfall which a usual pattern is to be witnessed at the time of Monsoon arrival.

These rains have helped in bringing down the mercury and now the temperatures are settling somewhere in the mid-30s. There have been some clouds with light rain in a few pockets.

At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and Rajasthan region. Another Cyclonic Circulation is over South Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas as well. The Trough linking these two features is in the proximity of Delhi and would eventually start shifting upward. Thus, it is making conditions conducive for thundershower and rainy activities this week. Today also, we can get to see light to moderate showers towards the later part of the day. Whereas, tomorrow, more activity will be seen with one or two heavy spells in the vicinity of Delhi and NCR.

Our experts have to say that it will be a persistent activity for the coming days. These weather activities will keep the mercury under check and temperatures will hang around mid 30 degrees only. More weather activities will be in sight when the Trough line will shift up towards North.
