In the next 24 hours, rain and thundershower activities are now, likely to intensify marginally over Tamil Nadu specially the southern parts and strong gusty winds will affect. The capital city of Chennai may receive light rain and thundershower activity tomorrow. Cloudy sky and a comfortable morning will prevail. During morning, coastal stations of Andhra Pradesh may receive scattered patchy fog.
However, Telangana and northern parts of Karnataka will remain dry. Day temperatures may drop marginally over these areas during the next 24 hours.
At present, a Cyclonic Circulation has formed over North Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, a trough is extending along the coast of Andhra Pradesh to South Tamil Nadu. Another trough is extending from Southeast Arabian sea to North Tamil Nadu across Karnataka.
During the last 24 hours, isolated rain activity was observed over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Telangana has received scattered rain and thundershower with isolated hailstorm over the isolated parts of the state. Also, thunderstorm activities developed over the Andhra Pradesh coast.
Kerala and Karnataka coast have remained warm during the last few days and have recorded unusually warm temperatures. Many parts of Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema have recorded temperatures more than 36 degrees in the last few days. Today the maximum temperatures over the area was recorded at Tirupati which was 37.5°C. Now however, the temperatures will drop due to change in wind pattern.
