Bengaluru rains were in hiding for quite some time now. In fact, for the past one week, the garden city of India was only witnessing dry weather conditions with traces of rains in between. Temperatures which were running in the late 20s a week ago crossed the 30-degree mark.
However, after an almost dry spell of about seven days, rain gods finally decided to bestow some kindness over the residents of Bengaluru. The city recorded some light rains with isolated moderate spells yesterday. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Bengaluru recorded 12 mm of rainfall.

These weather conditions were attributed to the presence of a feeble trough which was persisting over the state of Tamil Nadu. Due to this, moisture incursion took place over Bengaluru further resulting in cloud development over the region.
In fact, parts of Tamil Nadu also recorded some rainfall activity along with isolated pockets of South Interior Karnataka.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, rainfall activity is expected to remain light during the next 24 hours and only isolated areas will witness rains. Moreover, the possibility of good showers over the city of Bengaluru is not likely due to the absence of any significant weather system.
As far as the temperatures are concerned, they are likely to remain comfortable over the city for quite some time.
