Rains to take a break in Rajasthan after 24 hours

Rajasthan has been a lucky state in entire India in terms of witnessing good showers during the Southwest Monsoon. Although the state had remained dry for a couple of days, it seems that the rain god has bestowed the state with on and off good showers.

During last 24 hours as well, Rajasthan witnessed scattered moderate showers. A few districts however also witnessed light wet spells.

The reason for these showers over the state of Rajasthan can be credited to a cyclonic circulation that persists over East Rajasthan. This circulation is seen extending through Jaisalmer, center of Low Pressure Area, Guna, Pendra, and Balasore and towards northeast Bay of Bengal.

In last 24 hours as well, Rajasthan has witnessed widespread light to moderate showers. However, the system is expected to gradually weaken. This will lead to a decreased rainfall activity over the area gradually after 24 hours.

At present, West Rajasthan has already been a rain excess state observing a rain surplus of 21 percent than its normal. Similarly, East Rajasthan is relishing a good 54 percent rain surplus.
