Rains to take a backseat in Jharkhand, Bihar tomorrow onward

October 20, 2017 3:40 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The state of Jharkhand as well as Bihar have been witnessing rains of varied intensity during the last few days. While the neighbouring state of Odisha has recorded heavy to very heavy rains with some areas witnessing three-digit rainfall, rains have been lesser in intensity comparatively.

However, showers have been lashing both the states and spread is also quite enough. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Jamshedpur recorded a good 11 mm of rain, Patna 13 mm, Ranchi 4 mm. Along with this, traces of rains were also seen over Gaya as well as Daltonganj.

These rainfall activities over both these states can be attributed to a weather system in the form of a depression which is currently over Odisha region.

Sky may remain partly cloudy over eastern parts of the state and isolated showers may be seen for a day or two. Thereafter, weather will become completely dry.
