The current weather condition over both the states can be attributed to absence of any major weather system over and around the region.

However, weathermen at Skymet Weather expect the rain activity to pace up in Chhattisgarh as well as southern and eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh in the next few days. During this time, light to moderate rains will lash the regions.

These rains can be attributed to the merging of dry northwesterlies with humid southeasterly winds. A low pressure area that is likely to develop over North Bay of Bengal within the next 24 to 48 hours. In addition to this, a cyclonic circulation is over Telangana which is likely to move further north. Also, a trough is extending from this system which will move close by the region.
