The second week of March proved to be a rainy week for the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh wherein barring one or two days, otherwise, rains occurred almost the entire week.

The reason for this round of rain was the meeting of humid winds from the winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, forming a confluence zone over the area. This resulted in dropping the temperatures by a few notches.

However, as and soon the weather cleared up over the region, the temperatures once again began to increase both the states. As per Skymet Weather, the weather is expected to remain dry for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, by March 15, some places of Madhya Pradesh along with a few places of Chhattisgarh may get to witness rains.

The reason for these rains as reiterated by Skymet Weather would be the trough which is extending from North Chhattisgarh to Madhya Maharashtra across East Madhya Pradesh.  The intensity of these rains would be light to moderate and these showers would be scattered in nature.

The districts like Hoshangabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Raisen, Bhopal, Devas, Bilaspur, Pendra Road, Durg, and Jagdalpur are most likely to get affected by these rainy spells.

The cloud cover and rain activities would lead to a significant drop in the day temperatures. As per Skymet Weather, the weather would become comfortable from March 17 onwards. Due to the clearance of the weather, temperatures would once again rise. However, hailstorms are not predicted during this time.
