Telangana is most rain surplus state in Southern Peninsula with 33% surplus. North interior Karnataka is surplus by 27% South interior Karnataka by 8% whereas coastal Karnataka is deficient by 10%.
Although, coastal districts of Karnataka have received moderate to heavy showers on various occasions, but the average rainfall of coastal districts is very high. That is why despite numerous have a spell it is still deficient by 10%.
No rain activities are expected to revive over Telangana as the cyclonic over Northwest Bay of Bengal will move in westerly direction across Odisha. And a trough is extending from Telangana to south Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema.
There may be light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells over Telangana between September 20 and 23rd. Weather of Karnataka will remain almost dry until September 20.
Between September 21st and 23rd, Interior Karnataka will receive good rain and thunder showers. Whereas rain activities over coastal Karnataka may continue until September 23rd.
