Rains to remain on backseat in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur for 24 hours

The state of Maharashtra has had a good Monsoon run so far. In fact, most of the regions in the state of Maharashtra have witnessed good monsoon showers throughout the four-month long season. The last few days have also been rainy enough for the state of Maharashtra.

In fact, out of the four sub divisions of Maharashtra, only one region has witnessed deficient rains while others were either excess or at normal levels.

However, in the past 24 hours, rainfall activity has witnessed a drop over the region. Only light rains have been recorded that too by some areas. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Satara recorded 6 mm of rain, Kolhapur received 1 mm of rain, while Colaba observatory in Mumbai and Sangli only recorded a mere 0.2 mm of rainfall.

Now, during the next 24 hours, weather conditions are expected to remain dry as well as warm over the southern parts of Madhya Maharashtra. However, northern areas may witness very light rains with cloudy sky conditions.

Thus, during the next 24 hours, cities of Mumbai, Pune, Nashik as well as Nagpur will remain dry. However, light rains may make an appearance over Pune after 24 hours. Mumbai will witness a dry spell for two days at least.
