Rains have reduced considerably over the state of Madhya Pradesh. This weather can be attributed to the shift of the axis of Monsoon trough further north. Also, the low pressure area has shifted eastward.

Now, we do not expect rain to increase anytime soon over the state. Nearly the entire West Madhya Pradesh is anticipated to witness dry and warm weather. In fact, East Madhya Pradesh will only see isolated light rains. Moreover, one or two moderate spells of rain also cannot be ruled out over the northeastern parts of Madhya Pradesh like Rewa, Satna, Sidhi and Singoli.
Temperatures will remain in the lower 30s over South Madhya Pradesh. Places like Khargone and Khandwa will continue to observe warm weather.
The sky will be generally clear and rains will not return for at least the next two to three days over West Madhya Pradesh.
In the same way, rains have reduced significantly over Chhattisgarh. Nonetheless isolated light rains were reported over the region.
For now, any significant weather activity is not expected over the state and so the weather would remain dry for the following two to three days. However, still isolated rains can occur that would be entirely localized.
Weatherman at Skymet Weather expects rains to reappear over North Chhattisgarh around August 6, when areas like Balrampur, Sarguja and Bilaspur may get moderate spells.
For now, days would be warm and nights will be comfortable over both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
As on August 2, the state of Madhya Pradesh as a whole has seen excess rains to the tune of 2% whereas rain deficiency persisted in Chhattisgarh by 6%. Division-wise, East Madhya Pradesh is rain deficit by 3% while West Madhya Pradesh is rain surplus by 6%.
