Presently, a trough is extending from North Bihar to Arunachal Pradesh across Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Due to the moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, the humidity levels may rise and thus the feel effect of hot weather conditions would be much more over the area.

Skymet Weather does not foresee any major relief from the ongoing weather conditions over Kolkata for the next 72 hours. In general, the average monthly maximum for Kolkata stands at 35.3 degrees Celsius which the city is already being witnessing. In fact, the temperature may rise by one to two degrees Celsius.
