The last 24 hours were also similar and light rains were witnessed over some parts of the state. A few moderate spells of rains were also seen in some cities. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Bapatla recorded a good 21 mm of rainfall, Machilipatnam 2 mm, Narsapur 0.7 mm, Kavali 0.6 with 0.2 mm of rain in Ongole.

These rainfall activities have been attributed to the cyclonic circulation which is persisting over Odisha. Along with this, a trough is extending from this system up to South Andhra Pradesh coast.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the intensity of rains will reduce, and only light rains will be observed during the next 24 hours.
