According to Skymet Weather, these ongoing on and off rains over Konkan & Goa has reduced significantly due to the weakening of an offshore trough over the region of Maharashtra. Due to this weakened trough, the rain intensity over Mumbai and adjoining areas has also reduced.

Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra may witness an increase in the rainfall and thundershower activities, while isolated rains may also occur over Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

Marathwada is likely to see an increase in rain intensity and may receive scattered light to moderate rains from 7-9 July onwards. While Madhya Maharashtra will definitely witness an increase in the rainfall activities especially in places like Ahmednagar, Pune, Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur during the next two to three days.

Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra will continue to experience weak Southwest Monsoon conditions for the next few days. Thereafter, Vidarbha may witness on and off rainfall activities but Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada will continue to reel under almost dry weather conditions.
