In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, the Santa Cruz observatory in Mumbai recorded 10 mm of rain, whereas, the Colaba observatory witnessed rains to the tune of 5 mm.

These showers can be attributed to a trough that is extending from Odisha up to South Konkan and Goa.

As per Skymet Weather, light rains with one or two moderate showers are likely to continue for another 24 hours over the city. Weathermen expect the intensity of rains to pick up pace again over Mumbai after 24 to 48 hours.

During this time, few moderate spells of rain are likely over the City of Dreams. However, these rains will not be incessant and of short period only. Thus, the weather is likely to remain humid during the day with maximum temperatures ranging around between 32-34 degrees. Morning and nights will be pleasant, with minimums settling around 25-26 degrees.
