Western disturbance is over central Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab as a cyclonic circulation. An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central part of Rajasthan. Moreover, humid South westerly winds are reading version from Arabian Sea over Northwest India and parts of Central India. These weather parameters have resulted in heavy downpour over many parts of east Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Rain activities will start reducing from Rajasthan Western parts of Punjab as well as most parts of Haryana by today afternoon evening. Delhi may also witness reduction in rain activities by late afternoon today. There is a possibility of light isolated rain over Delhi and NCR tomorrow on January 9. Scattered rain may continue over foothills of Punjab and Haryana at during next 24 to 48 hours.
As the rain activities will start subsiding due to cold winds from snow clad mountains of Western Himalayas oval sweep across Northwest India including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Delhi and NCR. Minimum temperatures will start reducing. There may be a fall of 5-6 degree over these states during next 2-3 days.
