After affecting nearly 72, 000 in five districts of the state, finally rains have reduced incredibly in the intensity. In fact, in the last 24 hours also, light to moderate spells with isolated heavy rains were seen in the northeastern states of the country. That too, the intensity of rains was more in the NMMT region.

Skymet Weather reiterates that a cyclonic circulation persists over northeast Bangladesh and the adjoining area. Moreover, easterly winds are also prevailing over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. In the wake of this, the rainfall activity is expected to reduce further over the ‘seven sisters’ state’.

The mercury levels will plunge but the day will be warm over the region. The NMMT (Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura) region can brace for some light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells during the next 24 hours. While rains over the other regions will be comparatively on the lesser side. However, after 24 hours, rain over the NMMT will also reduce.
