The state of Gujarat is all set to see an increase in rainfall activities. Today, parts of South Gujarat and its neighbouring regions will see heavier showers. Tomorrow, rains will also spread out towards parts of Saurashtra and Central Gujarat.
Rains will be more intense along the coastal regions of Mahuva, Veraval, Diu, Vapi, Surat, Bhavnagar, Valsad, Bharuch and some interiors including Amreli, and Junagad. State capital Gandhinagar along with Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Somnath etc. may also see some rains.
Rainfall activity will be peaking tomorrow. Thereafter, the rain will reduce. Rains will start receding from the 19th, but Saurashtra may still see some rains. These rains will be attributed to the offshore trough being activated and the low pressure in central parts resulting in some convergence, which will enhance rainfall even more.
