The state of Kerala has been witnessing rainy days for the past few days. While these rainfall activities have not been very high in intensity, these showers have kept the weather conditions pleasant over the entire state.

The weather conditions have remained quite similar during the last 24 hours as well. In fact, a few good spells of rains have also been seen during the same time period. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, 20 mm of rains were witnessed in the city of Kochi. These showers have been attributed to the presence of a trough in proximity of Kerala. This trough has been running from Lakshadweep region across Sri Lanka.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, during the next 24 to 48 hours, light rains are expected to continue over the state of Kerala.

However, these showers will witness an increase thereafter as the low-pressure area which is currently over Andaman Sea will move towards the Kerala region.

Thus, around November 27 and 28, moderate to heavy rains are expected to occur over the southern parts of the state. Good rains will occur over the northern parts of Kerala as well.
