Rainfall over both Bengaluru and Hyderabad was attributed to the presence of a trough extending up to the Tamil Nadu coast. Due to this, moisture incursion has been increasing over the region giving some showers from these areas.

Now, during the next 24 hours, this trough is expected to move westwards in proximity of the state of Karnataka. Presently, coastal parts of Karnataka have been witnessing moderate to heavy showers. Along with this, parts of Hyderabad have also recorded isolated heavy rains as well during the last 24 hours.

Now, rainfall activity is expected to reduce over the state of Telangana including Hyderabad during the next 24 hours. However, due to the movement of the trough, rains will witness an increase over southern parts of Karnataka including Bengaluru during the same time frame.
