The northern districts of Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh have received light to moderate rain and thundershowers during the last 24 to 48 hours.
At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over southern parts of Odisha and a Trough is extending up to South Telangana. In the wake of these systems, the rainfall activities are expected to increase today. And many parts of Telangana including Hyderabad may get to see light to moderate rain.
Meanwhile, we expect the rains to increase in the other parts of Andhra Pradesh as well.
These intermittent rains may continue for another 24 hours with good intensity. Thereafter, the weather activities may taper from the region but isolated showers might continue in some parts.
Amidst rains, maximums of Telangana are likely to drop by 3-4 degrees Celsius due to increased cloud cover and subsequent rainfall. On the other hand, the night temperatures are expected to settle above normal for the next few days.
By February 13, rains are likely to vacate the region completely. Post this episode, we do not expect any major rainfall activity to take place.
