According to Skymet Weather, this change in the weather conditions can be attributed the trough running north of Delhi. Till now, this trough was running south of Delhi but the passage of fresh Western Disturbance has pulled the trough northwards now.

This east-west trough is semi-permanent feature during the Monsoon season, which keeps on oscillating north-south. This oscillation of trough is primarily responsible for Monsoon rains across the northwestern plains along with East India during the season.
