The state of Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing rains of varied intensity in the past many days. This could be attributed to back to back low-pressure area that has been developing over the state. Along with this, the axis of Monsoon trough is also passing through the state.

These weather systems have been giving light to moderate showers over the entire region of Madhya Pradesh. Also, heavy spells were witnessed on afew occasions.
In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Ujjain recorded a good 47 mm of rainfall, followed by Bhopal 33 mm, Gwalior 28 mm, Sagar 24 mm, Pachmahi 18 mm, Khajuraho 16 mm, Guna 8 mm, Umaria 7 mm, Jabalpur 6 mm of light showers.
As per Skymet Weather, rains are likely to reduce over the state. Hence districts like Rewa, Guna, Dhar, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Ratlam will witness light rains with few moderate spells.

Whereas, places such as Sagar, Bhopal, Hosangabad, Mandla, Seoni and Jabalpur will receive light rains. The weather will remain pleasant over entire Madhya Pradesh.
As on July 22, East Madhya Pradesh is rain surplus by 8% and West Madhya Pradesh by 7%. With 9 days left; there are probabilities of rain statistics to improve more.
