Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, rainfall activity is expected to continue over the city of Chennai and adjoining areas of Tamil Nadu. These rainfall activities will remain between moderate to heavy with the southern parts of the state recording more rainfall as compared to the northern areas.
These rains are attributed to the presence of a Cyclonic Circulation which is over Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Tamil Nadu. Moreover, the well marked low pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea has also been resulting in moisture feed over the Bay of Bengal system.
These rains will continue for some time however, there is nothing to panic as flooding rains are not at all expected over the state of Tamil Nadu this time.
