Rains to continue over Satna, Rewa, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur

Since the last few days, many parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been witnessing good rains. Particularly, in Madhya Pradesh, eastern and northern districts are most affected.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Betul recorded 17.2 mm of rain, followed by Gwalior 56.1 mm, Jabalpur 17 mm, Guna 13.7 mm, Bhopal 1.7 mm, Khandwa 19 mm, Satna 24.4 mm.

Now, the axis of Monsoon trough which was running via Madhya Pradesh has shifted to its north over Uttar Pradesh, now running via Uttar Pradesh. But an east west shear zone is running across the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Therefore, moderate to heavy showers are expected over many districts of Chhattisgarh. The state of Madhya Pradesh will also continue with moderate rain at several places. One or two places may receive heavy showers.

Eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh including Damoh, Satna, Rewa, Siddhi, Umaria and Jabalpur may receive good rains. Meanwhile, Gwalior, Tikamgarh, and Sagar may also receive few moderate spells of rains.

Talking about Chhattisgarh, Jagdalpur, Raigarh, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur and Ambikapur may receive good showers.

After 24 hours, rain intensity will reduce over South Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. However, northern parts will continue to see moderate showers, overall rain intensity will reduce over both these states.
