As reiterated by Skymet Weather, states of Punjab and Haryana saw some good rains in the past 24 hours. Many parts if the state witnessed good showers with some heavy rains being seen in isolated pockets as well. Moreover, Ludhiana saw 100 mm of rainfall while Amritsar saw 67 mm, Patiala 34 mm.
Now also, more rains are expected for the next few days at least. This is because the Monsoon Trough is running across Sri Ganganagar, Suratgarh, close proximity of Delhi and across Uttar Pradesh. A Western Disturbance is over the Western Himalayas with a Circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab region.
Today, some heavy rains may be seen in parts of Punjab including Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, etc. Rains will continue with varied intensity over both Punjab and Haryana for the next few days.
