The rainfall activity has decreased from most parts of Uttar Pradesh and activities are confined only along the northeast parts mainly over Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, and Deoria. The Trough line is moving across the foothills as of now and is likely to lose its strength during next 48 hours.
In the past 24 hours, significant rains of 117 mm were seen in Gorakhpur, Bahraich 24 mm and Rai Bareilly 12 mm.
The rainfall activity will then further reduce from the northeastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. However, due to heavy rains in Nepal, flood situation over extreme northern parts of the state will not improve immediately. The experts have to say that rainfall activity will increase in some parts of Northeast Uttar Pradesh like Moradabad, Saharanpur, Pilibhit and adjoining areas.
After 24 hours, when the Trough line will shift towards South, rainfall may further increase marginally over many parts of Northwest and Central Uttar Pradesh. The temperatures are already in a rising trend with mainly warm and humid weather along with partly cloudy sky to cloudy sky.
