Southwest Monsoon has already made an onset over the entire country which means extreme parts of Rajasthan have also been covered by now. With this, good rains have been witnessed over several areas of Rajasthan now.

In fact, eastern parts of Rajasthan have received good rains during the last 24 hours. Several other areas have also received good Monsoon rains. However, rains continued to miss the extreme western parts of the state.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Sawai Madhopur recorded a whopping 88.2 mm of rainfall followed by 82 mm of rainfall in Bundi. Other areas to have received rains include Ajmer 29.8 mm, Bikaner 14.2 mm, Chittorgarh 2 mm, Churu 21.6 mm, Jaipur 23.1 mm, Kota 31 mm, Pilani 12.1 mm, and Tonk 32.3 mm.

These rains can be attributed to the Western Disturbance which is currently over Jammu and Kashmir. Also, the axis of Monsoon trough is also running from the Rajasthan region. Now, the rain belt is expected to shift towards the northern parts of Rajasthan.

During the next 24 hours, North Rajasthan is likely to receive good rains. Also, rainfall activity of reduced intensity will continue over the Southeast Rajasthan.
