Odisha is deficit by 21% and Chhattisgarh by 22% rainfall as on June 18. Now conditions are becoming favorable for the advancement of Monsoon over some more parts of Chhattisgarh and entire Odisha in the next two to three days.

Around June 24 – 25, moderate to heavy showers are also possible in some parts of South Chhattisgarh and adjoining Odisha. We expect that Monsoon will remain marginally above normal over these two states by the end of June.

Good rains will ensure timely sowing of Kharif crops also. Weather conditions over these states are warm and humid, leading to uneasy conditions. But after three to four days, weather conditions are likely to change as temperatures will reduce and give relief from the sultry weather conditions.
