The northeastern region of the country has been seeing good rains for the last 48 hours. In fact, in the past 24 hours, light to moderate rains with a few heavy spells have been seen over many regions in Northeast India.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Silchar recorded a whopping 66 mm of rainfall, Haflong 45 mm, Dibrugarh 31 mm, Tangla 30 mm, North Lakhimpur 21 mm, Pasighat 19 mm and Majbat 16 mm.
During the next 48 hours as well, these rainfall activities are expected to continue over entire Northeast India. While most parts will see light to moderate rains, isolated heavy spells cannot be ruled out.
After 48 hours, rainfall activities will reduce to quite an extent and only light rains are expected.
