During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains occurred over Vidarbha. Also, moderate showers were seen over Konkan and Goa as well as in North Madhya Maharashtra. Scattered rains occurred over Marathwada as well.
Also, the capital city Mumbai has been receiving heavy showers since the evening. In just a span of last 3 hours, the city has recorded 38 mm of rains. These rains are now likely to continue further until tomorrow.
Now, we expect moderate rains to continue over Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa. One or two heavy spells are also likely at a few places. Also, scattered light to moderate rains are possible over Vidarbha and Marathwada.
By tomorrow, the rain intensity will decrease over Marathwada and Vidarbha. However, there are bright chances of increase in rain intensity over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai and suburbs as well as the region of North Madhya Maharashtra. Moderate rains with a few heavy spells are possible over North Konkan and Goa and North Madhya Maharashtra until September 21. Places like Jalgaon, Malegaon, Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Pune will also likely to receive moderate rains with isolated intense spells.
Places like Mumbai, Thane and Dahanu may witness a few intense spells of rain leading to waterlogging and traffic jams.
