As the trend of good rain continues, the withdrawal of Monsoon from Rajasthan that happens from September 1 is likely to be delayed by a week. And places like Udaipur, Mount Abu, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bundi and Kota would witness scattered showers for another two to three days. Meanwhile, rains will be patchy in Jaipur.
After experiencing heavy downpour, the intensity of rain has reduced in the state of Rajasthan. And the eastern districts have witnessed light to moderate rains only during the last 24 hours. It was only Ajmer that was lucky enough to get some heavy showers to the tune of 55 mm.
According to meteorologists at Skymet, the axis of Monsoon Trough has further shifted northwards, due to which rains will reduce in Rajasthan and we do not expect heavy to very heavy rains for the next two days. Rains will remain scattered only over the eastern and southeastern districts.
On September 4 and 5, the northern districts such as Alwar, Jaipur, Sikar, Dholpur, Bharatpur, and Churu stand a chance to witness scattered showers. These rains would bring a huge relief from the dry weather conditions.
The Southwest Monsoon has so far given some really good rains in the state. In fact, it is one of the best performing pockets of the country.
