After a prolonged dry spell, the city of Mumbai received moderate to heavy spells of rain on the night of September 27. Also, light to moderate rains occurred over many parts of Konkan and Goa as well as Madhya Maharashtra. At the same time, isolated pockets of Marathwada received short spells of rain.
The weathermen at Skymet expect light to moderate rains to continue over Konkan & Goa and adjoining areas of Madhya Maharashtra in the next 24 hours. Whereas, isolated rains are possible over the region of Marathwada.
After 24 hours, rains are expected to reduce marginally but the Southern districts of Konkan and Goa & Madhya Maharashtra will continue to get scattered rains.
Whereas, the weather conditions of northern parts of the state including places like Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad and Jalgaon are likely to remain dry. Day weather conditions are expected to remain warm and sunny over these places.
Although, in the next 24 hours, rains are expected over the areas of Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Pune and Mahabaleshwar. Weather in these districts is likely to remain comfortable with on and off rain activities. Sky condition over these areas will remain partly cloudy to cloudy. The weather during night will remain comfortable.
