Vidarbha region in Maharashtra has been witnessing on and off rains for the last many days. However, talking about the other divisions of the state, Konkan has not received any rains for almost a month. While parts of South Madhya Maharashtra and isolated parts of Marathwada have still managed to observe some isolated rains.
On the last day also, many districts of Vidarbha recorded light to moderate rains. However, the intensity of these rains remained light. It is due to these pre-Monsoon activities that the minimum temperatures of many parts dropped by 3-4 degrees leading to pleasant mornings and nights.

This drop in the temperature profile can be associated with a trough which is extending from Madhya Pradesh to Interior Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha and South Madhya Maharashtra.

In the wake of this, we expect rains to continue at a few parts of Vidarbha over the districts like Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Chandrapur, Buldhana, and Gondia for the next 24 hours. This would further result in a drop in the temperatures.
On the other hand, Konkan would remain dry while, isolated parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may witness some isolated showers.
Thereafter, the rainfall activity over the region would reduce significantly. However, isolated thundershower or light rain may continue until April 12. Henceforth, by April 13, the weather would become dry and the weather would once again become warm and sunny.
