During the last 24 hours, the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh have received light to moderate rain and thundershowers at scattered places. Rest parts of the state were dry and hot with humid conditions. The afternoon was rather very uneasy.
All these weather conditions are prevailing due to the presence of a Low-Pressure Area over North Chhattisgarh and adjoining region. This system is tilting southwestwards with extending height. Simultaneously, another Trough is extending from West Rajasthan to North Bay of Bengal across North Madhya Pradesh. The above Low-Pressure would be moving west-northwestwards, slowly and weakening.
Due to the presence of this system, light to moderate rain and thundershower will occur at isolated places over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, rain intensity will be decreasing over the western parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Places like that of Khargone, Betul, West Nimar, Khandwa, Shahpur and Barwani may experience heavy showers during the next 24 to 48 hours.
As a Western Disturbance, is also approaching during the same period hence, dust storm and light thundershower would be affecting over Northwest and Northern parts of Madhya Pradesh, after 24 to 36 hours.
The weather will remain very warm and humid as moisture inflow is continuously taking place from Bay of Bengal along with high temperatures. The occurrence of rainfall will be useful for the seeding of crops and reducing the high temperatures.
