The state of Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing rainfall activities for the past few days. So much so that many areas have also seen a few moderate to heavy spells of rains during this time.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Indore saw 19.6 mm of rainfall, Umaria 22 mm, Betul recorded 6 mm of rains, Bhopal 1 mm, Jabalpur 2 mm, Mandla 7 mm, Pachmarhi 10 mm, Sagar 2.4 mm, Seoni 1.4 mm,
These rains have occurred due to the low pressure which had been persisting over Northwest Bay of Bengal. The system has now become a cyclonic circulation and is over North Odisha region due to which, clouding will increase over parts of Madhya Pradesh baring North Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hours.
Thus, light to moderate rains will continue over many parts of East, Central and South Madhya Pradesh while rest of Madhya Pradesh will see dry and very warm weather.
Cities of Betul, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Balurghat, Seoni, Mandla, Annupur, Keshla, Pachmarhi will see moderate rains.
After 24 hours, this system will move west northwestwards to Odisha and North Chhattisgarh, rains will be increasing over South Madhya Pradesh and Central Madhya Pradesh when Khandwa, Shahpur, Betul, Hoshangabad, Khargone may receive good rains.
Subsequently, rains will increase over rest of the state as the same system will move in a west northwestward.
