The city of Bengaluru recorded 82.6 mm of rains, which is a heavy spell of rains. This rainfall was observed over a period of 24 hours. Bengaluru in the month of June had exceeded its monthly mean. In fact, the capital city of Karnataka also surpassed its July mean of 113 mm.
Bengaluru sees moderate MOnsoon months with maximum rains seen in the month of September where the monthly mean is a little more than 200 mm.
The past 24 hours have been lenient, now rains may be seen today and tomorrow as well. This is in view of the trough running from South Interior Karnataka to Comorin area. Thereafter, rains will reduce to quite an extent. Pleasant weather will prevail with maximums settling in the high 20s and minimums at just about 20 degrees.
